Henry Chamberlain has twenty years of international humanitarian experience in demanding environments from Chechnya to Sudan. He has also led diverse teams, provided invaluable insights into key success factors in building positive, highly effective teams. Henry specialised in quickly building relationships with insurgents, tribal elders and ad hoc militias to provide security guarantees for access to facilitate humanitarian assistance. He started his career as a Royal Marines Officer providing a solid foundation for his international work and has read a masters in water engineering.
Recently settled in Norfolk to be with his children he has drawn on his international, military and adventurous experience to establish the Coastal Exploration Co, which uses a fleet of traditional North Norfolk fishing boats under sail to facilitate social, environmental and leadership programmes, such as delivering cargo under sail and using beneficiaries from a homeless charity to crew, gaining valuable life-altering experience. During the winter season, Henry consults with the United Nations and other humanitarian organisations.
Henry Chamberlain is a natural adventurer who loves the physical and mental challenge of travel, such as riding his Royal Enfield Bullet from India to Norfolk and trekking by camel with Sudanese nomads across the Bayuda desert.
