Justin Cunningham had an 18-year career in the Royal Marines, having joined from Liverpool University where he studied Law, during which time undertaking a variety of challenging leadership appointments from frontline operational service to programme director roles in the Ministry of Defence.
After the Royal Marines, Justin Cunningham spent five years in senior NHS performance improvement and change management roles. Additionally, tasked by the Department of Health to initiate and lead networks to improve the provision of military health services in the NHS for veterans. He was then recruited as a Regional Director for the NHS’s property company three years ago with responsibility for an operational budget of £98m, circa 500 suppliers and 1300 staff.
Above all, Justin Cunningham is a people person, and seeks to blend the skills and experience he’s acquired from a number of sectors to become a valuable and welcome member to any team. Justin is extremely motivated by helping people, teams and leaders build the relationships to overcome the blockages to change. Improving communication and generating a shared understanding of the goal overcomes these blockages, which drives improved performance.
I firmly believe that those teams that communicate in times of change and challenge are the most successful.
