
Amanda Wilsher is Joint Artistic Director and writer for mask company ‘The Village Idiots’ and for comedy duo ‘Plested and Brown’. The companies tour the UK and abroad spreading joy and hilarity to a range of large and small audiences of all ages and backgrounds.
Amanda uses her director’s eye and ear to work out what ‘works’ for individuals so that they look and feel authentic, spontaneous and engaged in front of an audience. She brings a toolkit of tried and trusted rehearsal tips and techniques to her training sessions. She is passionate about helping people to re-discover their natural voice and use it to engage, persuade and transform others. Using wit and humour she has a knack for drawing inspired performances out of people. Her sessions are great fun, non-threatening and revelatory.
Amanda has worked extensively in the arts-based training field. Her client list includes Nuffield, Pernod Ricard, Pfizer, Shell, Sainsbury’s. She is an Associate at the Kings Fund Leadership and Development Faculty and has worked with Ashridge and IMD business schools.
She is passionate about helping people develop their natural skills, to engage, persuade and transform others. Using targeted critical feedback, humour and she has a knack of drawing inspired performances out of people. Amanda works with CEO’s, SMT’s, and Boards for a wide range of local, national and global organisations, in both the private and public sector. She is currently developing the Executive Women’s Programme.
