3-4 Days in consultation with the specific needs of the client.

Course Location

The course may be delivered at clients’ location worldwide.

Course Benefits

Threat and error management, leadership, communication, teamwork, situational awareness, decision making, use of standard operating procedures, stress and fatigue management are the principle areas of focus. All case study material and experiential activities are focussed upon embedding the key learning and supporting skills into the practical working environment of the delegates. The course aims to finish with all delegates participating in a dynamic simulator exercise which immerses them into their technical environment, but with the additional element of Human Factors Training integrated within the routine and emergency profiles of every scenario.

The idea of learning how safety cultures in other industries are applied is great. I believe the oil and gas industry and the airline industry have a lot in common, in particular, the impact of pressure and how to have better decision making and situational awareness. The instructor Don has a wonderful ability of giving constructive feedback which enhances participation in class and hence improves the learning experience. Great course, great learning.
